Chandler County Here We Come!

I knew it had been a while since I'd last posted here, but I didn't realize it had been almost a month. I usually try to post at least every two weeks. I'm sure you're wondering where I've been and what's next for me.

I'm happy to report that I've been a busy little bee. I've been working on the first book of my new adult series that I hope to release in January. In the meantime, let me tell you about my latest venture and the release of my next book, Missing Out, coming in November.

Earlier this year, I signed on to write a book in the Chandler County romantic suspense series. It's not the first time I've done a group project, but I will admit this one was harder than the others. First off, it's a romantic suspense novel which is not my usual genre. Second, it's set in Kentucky and centered around the Derby culture. Since it was something I knew nothing about, I had to spend a lot of time doing some research before I was ready to write the book.

It was a tougher road than I expected to walk, but I did it. By this time next month, Missing Out will be out. Truth be told, it's actually a novella coming in at just over thirty thousand words. That was the minimum word count, and while some of my peers have doubled that, I'm proud of my offering.

In preparation for the release of this book, I've spent a lot of time working with some amazing authors like PJ Fiala and Stephany Tullis and Traci Wooden-Carlisle to name a few. These ladies have been patient and encouraging and I'm humbled to be in their company. I can only hope that my book does as well as I know theirs will.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be devoting some time to introducing you to these ladies. Spotlighting other authors is something I've never done on my blog, but I can't tell you how excited I am to share the works and words of these talented authors with you.

So, saddle up your horse and hold on because we're taking a trip to Chandler County that you don't want to miss!
